The beginning!

Well here it is my first post! I am going to be posting about my journey into the world of fimo, I am so excited to get going I am chomping at the bit to get going!

I guess I should start at the beginning of my story back when I was an 8 year old child opening my xmas and birthday presents, I always asked for fimo and loved playing for hours making random models and jewellery (not very well I have to say!), I dont know why I stopped playing with it I guess I just discovered going out with my friends and boys!! The next time I would come accross it would be craft sessions at work and again loved making things. I told my best friend about it and she has used fimo and PMC for a few years now and encouraged me to get some for home and showed me some things amazing things on the internet that just gave me the complete bug! So when I was given some money for Christmas I didn't need to think twice about what to spend it on!

So here I am a month or so down the line and loving it!
I have made a few things but at the moment mainly just playing with a few techniques, the ones I have pretty much mastered are skinner blend and cane making. Although I feel very unready to show any of my work my husband Dave has been proudly showing off my stuff at work and has even come back with some orders!

So this is me at the beginning! I hope you enjoy following my journey!

  2. Congratulations on setting up a blog. A bit daunting at first, but a great way to record your journey. Look forward to seeing your Fimo creations. Impressed you've mastered skinner blend. I was trying to improve on mine the other day but fell out with the Pasta Machine!! Just go for it ...

Hope to meet you soon and best regards from STAEDTLER headquarters in Germany, Yvonne
